On 13 November 2025, Prof. Cristina Prandi, the newly elected Rector of the University of Turin, led a delegation to visit the School of International Studies (SIS) at Peking University. Dean Tang Shiqi met with the guests in Room A101 of the School.
During the meeting, Dean Tang extended a warm welcome to Rector Prandi and her delegation, and gave a brief overview of the School’s disciplinary development, academic strengths, international cooperation, and talent cultivation. Rector Prandi expressed her gratitude for the School’s gracious reception and affirmed the strong potential for future collaboration. The meeting laid an important foundation for advancing substantive cooperation between the two universities. Both sides agreed to take this discussion as an opportunity to accelerate the implementation of the Peking University–University of Turin Dual Master’s Program, promote faculty exchanges and research collaboration, and jointly nurture high-level international relations professionals with a global vision.
Participants in the meeting included Prof. Giovanni Andornino, Director of the TOChina Centre of the University of Turin; Ms. Virginia Mariano , Research Technician and Coordinator of the TOChina Centre of the University of Turin; Ms. Martina Poletti, Chief Operating Officer of the Europe-China Philanthropy Project at the Torino World Affairs Institute; as well as SIS Associate Dean Dong Zhaohua and staff members from the Office for International Programs—Zhang Chunping, Chen Fang, and Wang Juan.
